Pregnancy Update

So I thought I'd use Wednesdays as my pregnancy days, mostly because Wednesdays mean I've just gotten into a new week of pregnancy, and I'm generally in a good mood about it. The weekends are bad because I am sick of the current week of pregnancy I am in and usually pretty irritable about it. Irritable? Me? NOoooo.

Anyhow, so far so good. This pregnancy has been a 360 turnaround fro Addison's. With her I was sick sick sick, to the point of only being able to eat ramen noodles. I couldn't even be around any kind of meat. Pizza was a definite no, the smell of it made me want to die. This pregnancy has been completely different in the sense that I EAT EVERYTHING IN SIGHT. Like, what the heck? I am hungry all the time, and have to eat to capacity in order to feel better. Snacks are a no-go, it must be a three course meal. And I have to eat a filling snack before bed or I'll wake up in the middle of the night and annoy Justin by rolling around for hours until I go and dig some cookies out of the cupboard. And fast food is my food of choice. Cooking takes too long. Poor Justin gets a home cooked meal whenever his mom is willing to make one, because of my other most prevalent symptom, the TIREDNESS. I remember being tired with Addison, but this has got to be considered something more exotic, like FATIGUE. I am so tired 24/7 that if left alone in a quiet room, I will fall asleep. Anywhere. And it makes it so I am useless. On Monday I set about to do my usual stuff, grocery shopping, cleaning. I got through picking up the loft before needing a nap. I woke up, ready to take Addison shopping, but ended up laying down again until Justin came home and could come with us. I was honestly worried I would fall asleep at the wheel.

So other than that fun stuff, it's all good. The other most noticeable change is my belly. It popped right out by week 5, which surprised and horrified me. My casual acquaintances down here don't know I'm pregnant yet, I decided to just let them figure it out, but my guess is I'll have to start telling people next week, because I can't suck it in anymore. I have the same belly now that I had at 20 weeks with Addison. Mind you, I stayed fairly small with her, but STILL. Horrifying.

So here are the pics. I'll post my 20 weeks pic with Addison for comparison, so you can see that I am not exaggerating. Also note the obligatory bathroom belly pic. ALL pregnant girls do it. Justin took one of me but I looked superbly fat. I'm happy my butt decided to get in on the action and get pregnant too. I already go out the dreaded maternity clothes box.

Only 34 weeks to go (a single tear just rolled down my cheek.)
20 weeks 6 weeks

Okay, I just have to say I know exactly how you feel on a couple of levels.

First - I was totally comparing belly pics like that and freaking out that my belly was so much bigger so much faster. The good news is that 1) you are way smaller than you think you are, and 2) in my case, my rapid weight gain at the beginning slowed down and in the end, I ended up smaller than I got with Diego. So there's hope, lol.

Second - I was way hungrier with my second pregnancy, too. Seriously, if I didn't eat a lot right before bed, I would wake up in the middle of the night with my stomach rumbling and I'd be pretty T.Oed.

Haha Nat you're the bed. I know I'm overreacting, but it still freaks me out.

And yesterday, I got Justin to get me McDonalds, ate it and immediately wished he'd brought me twice the amount.
