Weekend Update: A scout campout? That NEVER happens!

Justin had YET ANOTHER scout campout last weekend. I think the Scout Master must have a death wish, because if he keeps this up, I WILL kill him. This one lasted longer than the others, so Justin was gone from Thursday to Saturday, and I was left to figure out how to keep Addison entertained for that long.

Thursday night we saw Justin off, and then Addison and I stared at each other for a while, trying to decide what to do. We decided that milkshakes were in order, and headed over Cold Stone. On the way I decided to run to the store too. We ended up just buying Addison a stuffed kitty and a Play Doh Dora the Explorer playset, so basically that was really productive. Then we went to get our milkshakes. Addison picked out cotton candy and I got my trusty old Oatmeal Cookie Batter. They were WAYYYYY too thick, so when we got home, I watered Addison's down. She looked tired, so I put her to bed. But she wanted her milkshake! So, for some reason I still don't understand, I let her have her milkshake in bed.

When I woke up on Friday, there was milkshake EVERYWHERE? She had literally just dumped it out and slept in it. So I cleaned her bed and her clothes and her HAIR, and tried to get to work. My in laws watched her in the afternoon while I went to Nordstrom and blew a bunch of money at their Anniversary Sale. Honestly... great stuff. Also, the Disney Store and Old Navy received a large portion of my bank account. I rented a few movies and came home. Addison wanted t go swimming, so we went down to the pool, yet again, for a couple of hours. By the time we were ready to leave, Addison had wrapped herself in a towel and headed for the exit, she was SO DONE. We stopped for Chinese on the way home (food, not people.) and ate it picnic style on the floor in the loft. By 7:30 Addison was asleep.

Saturday we got up and went to the Farmer's Market. It was SO CUTE! We picked up some cherries and some artisan bread (Asiago, mmm) and went to play at the park. By this time is was only 10am, and we still had ALOT of time to kill. So we went to see Chimps in Space. Yeah. It was a movie about monkeys being sent to another planet. Addison loved it though, and was happy as can be to sit and eat her popcorn and watch.

By the time we got out, Justin was home, so we went back. We napped (YAY!) and went for dinner, and then to the bookstore to get a few new books. By the way, I buy books like an addict buys crack cocaine, so my poor bookshelf is stacked to the max. I don't know what to do with them now!

Aaaaaand now we have a short work week because of the holiday, so I am actually happy to hop to it today. Here are some pics of the weekend!

I can't believe you gave her a milkshake in bed, hahaha. You're the coolest mom ever. Next time J goes on a campout, can *I* come over??
